· Act as the central contact responsible for site surveys regarding installation, upgrade, commissioning and decommissioning all VTC suites, including desktop VTCs, within the ACTNET community.
· Maintain, troubleshoot and remediate VTC suite, including desktop VTCs.
· Conduct periodic test calls.
· Support all videoconferencing equipment and peripheral devices.
· Load and configure videoconferencing software applications.
· Troubleshoot connection anomalies to ensure optimum operation.
· Provide VTC User Support.
· Evaluate user video and audio conferencing needs and expectations as required.
· Provide an overview of the videoconferencing setting as options (mode, microphone use, etc.) selected for the meeting as required.
· Conduct remote and onsite videoconferencing training for room facilitators, conference participants and equipment users.
· Attend technical exchange meetings and conferences and provide information to support alignment with DoDIIS information technology standards and the AF JWICS Enterprise architecture.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of seven years of IT experience (or a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a field applicable to this position (e.g. information systems, computer science, math, or engineering) and 3 years of VTC experience) providing technical expertise and support for VTC systems, including installation, upgrade, and administration of hardware and software; resolution of interoperability issues for the types of systems/equipment listed on the equipment list in paragraph.
Preferred Additional Skills:
· Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS) specific experience is preferred.
8570 Job Requirements
· Information Assurance professional certifications that meet DoD 8570.1M requirements for IAT-2 (GSEC, Security+, SCNP, SSCP).
This position requires the candidate to already possess an active Top Secret clearance and to maintain the clearance.
