Their unique middleware solutions enable service providers to accelerate the introduction of a variety of innovative, revenue-generating digital home services while enhancing their competitive edge and reducing operational costs. They are a global company, a leader in their field, and experiencing significant growth worldwide.
Position Overview: In this new role as the VP of Sales, North America you will be instrumental in building the business in the Telco, MSO and OEM space-You must have experience in this space. There is a hands on role with a small team to mange and this is a very hands-on role. The potential to grow the US business to over 50% of the global corporate revenues is your mission. With growth in revenues comes growth in responsibility. This position is part of the global management team thus you will have an impact on worldwide business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of sales success as well as solid sales management skills, with a focus on selling software solutions for Broadband Services to the Telco, MSO and OEM sectors. You must be a hands-on sales leader with some global experience and have built revenues from several million to over $20 million. The ideal candidate will be able to work remotely from senior management, been part of a strategic management team, able to work alongside executives from the parent company and be experienced at dealing with senior level executives both within the company and with customers.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
10 +years in the sales leadership and at least the 3 plus in selling middleware for residential broadband services in North America to Tier 1 Telcos and MSO’s – Required
Knowledge and experience with Broadband Services, GW,VOD, IPTV applications for residential market-Required
Strong hands on sales and sales leadership skills; able to build and manage a small group and grow the team as the business grows.
Experience with & knowledge of OEM’s (Motorola, Cisco, Alcatel, Westel…) -Advantage
Experience negotiating contracts with large partners and customers
Experience and comfortable working in a dynamic multi-culturally environment covering North America
Demonstrated track record of hands on sales success.
Creative, motivated, high energy level, passionate, hands-on and strong C level experience.
Proficient in Microsoft office, outlook and ( or similar )
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or EE, MBA an advantage
Territory: North America (US and Canada)
Reports to: CEO
Location: Greater NY Preferred or any major city in the Northeast, possibly the Southeast
Travel: between 50-70% with a few trips abroad
Compensation: Total Compensation $275K-$300K with a base of $125K-$150K, depending on prior earnings, plus options, ability to overachieve and comprehensive benefits.
