Systems Engineer 4
The System Engineer will be responsible for supporting COMINT programs. This role will require this engineer to work as a member of a project team to assist in requirement allocation, system design, requirement verification, and system troubleshooting. The engineer will participate in the requirements, design, and code reviews as the system engineering representative and will participate in customer meetings.
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

Basic Qualifications For ConsiderationMust have a minimum 7 years experience working with information or signals processing systems.

Typical Education/Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of and working experience with RF components, including analysis, specification, and testing is preferred. Knowledge of systems engineering methodology to include requirements analysis, decomposition, allocation, test plan development, and system integration and test is preferred. Ability to generate and present briefings is preferred. Knowledge of cost account management is preferred.
