Requirements:
Successful candidate will be required to:
Assist the Test Lead on development and execution of manual and automated test cases and test scripts for a secure web-based application.
Assist the Test Lead on performing an internal quality assurance check on all deliverables to ensure that all deliverables are complete, accurate, and adhere to the client’s standards.
Identify and analyze all software defects and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications.
Participate and/or facilitate the test case peer review meetings and provide feedback making sure the developed test cases meet the client requirements and verify the requested functionality.
Assist the test lead in tracking the defects from creation to closure, and ability to comprehend, analyze and communicate the project specifications to technical and business user groups.
Providing assistance with business and requirements analysis activities, and reviewing system requirements, functional design specifications and requirements traceability matrices.
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Basic Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming.
Experience in programming with VB Script.
Familiar with Process Improvement Methodologies (CMMI/ISO 9000).
Knowledge of testing methodologies and web-based applications.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Work productively in a dynamic, priority shifting, deadline-driven environment.
Develop and analyze system requirements.
Excellent organizational, presentation, and business analysis skills.
Prior experience in creating and documenting test cases, test scenarios and test reports.
Familiar with the following tools:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
MS Project
Visio
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of test automation/ test management tools such as Quick Test Professional, Load Runner, and Quality Center.
Prior experience with configuration management and version control tools such as Clear Case, Clear Quest, CVS, and Subversion.
Basic Knowledge of Structured Query Language
