Consolidated Safety Services (CSS) is a national company, headquartered in the metro Washington, DC-area, that helps government and commercial clients identify and resolve safety, health, security, and environmental issues. CSS is seeking full-time Java Developers. Position is located in Silver Spring, MD.
Responsibilities: •Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java applications for a complex web services system built off of Oracle 10g and 11g environment. •Perform development in a multi-contractor, Government workspace. •Develop documentation for developed Java applications •Working with users and application stakeholders to verify and validate requirements •Working with Oracle DBA and Developers to collaborate on application development
Qualifications: •Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years experience. •Minimum 2 years spent developing complex Java systems for the government or industry. •Minimum 2 years of Java development experience. •Minimum 1year of experience with web services. •Minimum 1year of experience developing complex systems within an Oracle10g or 11g environment. Must be US Citizen
Preferred Additional Skills: •Good interpersonal and communication skills a plus. •Software experience utilizing Rational ClearCase a plus. •System discrepancy reporting experience using ClearQuest a plus. •UNIX development experience a plus.
Salary up to 75K and dependent on experience.
