The Housing Partnership Equity Trust(HPET) is a unique social venture REIT started by the nation’s leading nonprofit multifamily developers and owners, who collectively own and operate over 60,000 units of multifamily housing. This startup company has a double bottom line objective to achieve a transformative community development mission while operating as a sustainable and profitable enterprise.
The Equity Trust will promote new model of multifamily finance and ownership that utilize enterprise level financing and portfolio level asset management, while leveraging the property management and development capabilities of the nation’s leading non-profit housing developers. Initial acquisition targets will include overleveraged multifamily properties that were originally developed as market rate housing but can now be converted to affordable housing opportunities, expiring LIHTC partnerships, and assisted and unassisted portfolios.
Senior Real Estate Analyst
We are seeking a mission-oriented, self-starter who seeks to work in a collaborative business setting and is committed to affordable housing and community development. As the Senior Real Estate Analyst, you will be joining HPET on the ground floor with tremendous growth potential. Reporting directly to the President, you will be responsible for assisting the President in closing the capitalization of the company, the start-up of operations and the analysis and closing of acquisitions.
Responsibilities: · At the direction of the president, develop pro-forma financial models at both the venture and asset level · Support the negotiation and closing of venture level equity and debt investments · Assist in the development of underwriting, asset management and reporting standards · Conduct site inspections and assist in the underwriting and development of investment business cases · Other support as needed to successfully launch the company Requirements
Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related fields with 5+ years experience or MBA degree · Experience modeling complex real estate transactions · Excellent analytical skills · Strong communication and writing skills and the ability to work with public, private and nonprofit partners · Significant travel (up to 50%) required · Ability to work flexible schedule
