CBP deploys the federal government’s largest law enforcement workforce at our nation’s ports of entry and at our land and coastal borders.

 

CBP’s Office of Internal Affairs is looking for Investigative Program Specialists at the and No previous federal training is required.

 

Depending on position level, you will make an annual salary ranging from $60,274.00 - $110,104.00. Positions are available in Long Beach, CA; LAX Airport, CA; Miami, FL; Orlando, FL; Chicago, IL; Newark, NJ; JFK Airport, NY; and Washington, DC. Requirements:

MAJOR DUTIES

Duties will vary depending on position level. Below is a sample of duties:

·         Coordinates, plans and administers polygraph examinations to applicants and employees.

·         Provides guidance to aid in investigative plans and strategies.

·         Conducts comprehensive polygraph assessments and evaluations of programs and operations.

·         Provides executive management with independent, objective and fact-based analysis concerning the effectiveness of agency polygraph examination programs.

 

Selectees who have not completed the basic polygraph training program at the National Center for Credibility Assessment or an equivalent school will be required to attend and successfully complete a

14-week training program.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, have residency in the United States for at least the last three years, pass a drug test and pass a background security investigation which may include a polygraph.
