Project Parsons has recently been awarded a task order with the General Service Administration (GSA) to support a five-year facility management program for one of the agency's GSA serves. Our work will be allocated in one year increments and our project team is seconded in with the agency to develop a facility management plan that best suits its needs. The agency's office is in downtown Washington, D.C. Minimal travel (10%) to other agency locations may be required.
Need Parsons is seeking a Principal Environmental Specialist to support our project with the CBP's Air and Marine Facilities Program Management Office. You will serve as technical expert on implementing an environmental management program and on governmental regulations pertaining to environmental quality and pollution abatement issues. You will help ensure our client is in compliance with all environmental management initiatives, directives, and mandates, and legislative requirements. In addition, you will provide technical advice and recommendations on environmental quality issues, such as asbestos abatement, ventilation deficiencies, carbon monoxide levels under inspection canopies at border stations, and lead levels in indoor firing ranges. You may also support NEPA and other environmental regulation compliance. In addition you will facilitate stakeholder communication and outreach.
Qualifications: Requirements
10 years of related environmental experience, preferably on a Federal government project and NEPA experience plus
Proficiency in reviewing environmental documentation
Experience in preparing and adhering to project schedule and milestones
Bachelors degree in environmental science or related discipline
Proof of US citizenship is required and must be able to pass background investigation without delay. A DHS/CBP Public Trust clearance a plus
