Project Parsons has an ongoing program with WMATA - the Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority. The scope of the program includes On-Call General Engineering and Consulting Services. Within this program Parsons will be executing various construction and design task orders for rail and bus facilities in the Washington Metro area.
Need There is a need for a talented Mechanical Engineer to support the Rail & Transit team's efforts with this program. The successful candidate will perform conventional and moderately-complex engineering assignments, applying mechanical engineering techniques and analyses. Assignments will primarily involve hands-on design of heavy industrial mechanical systems.
Qualifications: • 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• Minimum of 5y heavy industrial mechanical design experience required
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate required / PE strongly preferred
• Experience with design engineering of transportation related facilities preferred
