JOB DESCRIPTION:

Incumbent shall provide on-site (Government facilities) program and help desk support for the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, Technical Investigative Programs Section which supports investigations and investigative methods that are sensitive in nature. All contract employees must successfully complete a Government background investigation and maintain a clearance.

The Contractor shall be responsible for providing support for the Programs such as: Telecommunications Linking System (TLS), Pen-Link, and ICE Subpoena System (ISS). This support includes: user assistance, technical assistance, Oracle database administration and maintenance, application server administration and maintenance; and the tasks.

Incumbent is responsible for providing in-depth and high level, telephone support to end-user community on hardware, software and network related problems, questions, and use. Provides problem resolution on the telephone with users. Walks the user through a series of steps to determine problem. Classifies level, priority and nature of problem. Opens, tracks and closes trouble tickets; ensures problem ownership and promotes end-user satisfaction. Tracks activities of field engineers to who tickets were assigned. Must have a wide range of skills and knowledge in computer hardware and software as well as networking systems in use at customer sites. Requires experience in the set-up, configuration, use, and trouble shooting of computer. Trained and certified in automated help desk management systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· Requires High School Diploma, but a Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or a related field) or equivalent, is highly desired.
· Must have one or more years' experience in help desk support and/or IT desktop and network support.
· CNE/CNA certification.
· Must have positive, customer service attitude
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
· Must be able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
· Must be able to work independently and as part of a group in meeting tight deadlines
· Clearance: Public Trust

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Hands on experience with the Pen-Link system
· Hands on experience with theTelecommunications Linking System (TLS)
· Hands on experience with the ICE Subpoena System (ISS)
· Familiarity with automated trouble ticketing systems
· DOJ Experience


Work Environment and Physical Demands:
General office environment; no special physical demands required.
