Project Summary T-Rex Corporation is currently seeking a skilled Help Desk Application Support Specialist Jr. to provide support to the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Border Enforcement Management System (BEMS) program. BEMS' mission is to support mission systems, border systems and information dissemination across the full system lifecycle. You will help T-Rex and its customer's provide system and software design, engineering, development, and O&M applications and systems support services. As a member of the BEMS' team you will support CBP in protecting our Nation's borders and securing our citizens' safety.
Skills Required
* 1-2 years of relevant experience customer support experience in a technical Help Desk environment or call center * Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite * 1 to 2 years experience in basic technical writing/documentation * Fundamental understanding and ability to perform analytical research pertaining to software and hardware * Hands-on experience using and installing software and for research and analysis * Ability to perform comparison testing to assist in identifying irregularities occurring in a process * Ability to communicate and present research findings to management verbally and in written format * Ability to learn and understand different technologies
Skills Desired
* Proficiency in Remedy or similar trouble ticketing system is preferred * Previous experience working in a government contracting environment is a plus A+, ITIL or Help Desk Certification is a plus
Duties & Responsibilities You will be responsible for total phone support for one or more custom software applications. You will be performing work that involves the planning and delivery of information technology customer support services including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and customer assistance. Specifically, you will diagnose and resolve problems, such as outages, over the phone in response to customer reported incidents. You will also research, evaluate, and provide feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements; develop and maintain databases of problems and their resolution. You will develop and manage customer service performance requirements; provide advice and guidance on a wide range of complex IT issues; and represent the office in interactions with other organizations and private contractors.
