Job Description Investment Banking Analysts play an integral role on investment banking teams, providing analytical support on public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other financial advisory services for our clients in one of five broadly defined industry verticals: (consumer/industrial) manufactured products, consumer products, healthcare, business and technology services and real estate. Analysts assist in the preparation of company valuations, financial models, company marketing documents and client presentations in addition to performing research and various analyses in support of new business generation. Analysts develop their skills through broad exposure to both junior and senior bankers. Candidates must be eager and able to learn in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The Financial Analyst position requires a two year commitment, which is typically followed by either promotion within Baird or the pursuit of an MBA or other job opportunities.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. Candidates must have a proven academic record (minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0) and a strong interest in finance. Accounting, Business, Economics and Finance concentrations are preferred, but not mandatory. The ideal candidate will (i) possess a strong work ethic and a record for excellence; (ii) have the ability to function equally well in both a team setting and on a self-directed basis; and (iii) be familiar with spreadsheet and word processing software programs.
