District Sales Manager
Responsibility: Executes the sales strategy for the defined area. This includes understanding the global, theater and regional strategies and based on knowledge of the assigned market, develops a territory based plan that drives the defined goals and initiatives. Responsible for an intimate knowledge of the landscape of the partner ecosystem, competitors, mid market opportunities and key accounts to penetrate by intelligence gathering through local relationships, strong business acumen and relationships with the corporate marketing team. Collaboration with regional and theater resources to ensure aligned direction will be imperative. Deployment of the plan to the sales resources within the assigned area, including optics to the regional and theater specific links is expected. Aligning human capital needs to the goals of the area and needs of the market will help drive successful execution. This includes gap analysis, defined development plans, active coaching, consistent communication and driving the cadence of accountability. Monitor the sales metrics of the assigned area, diagnose issues that impact the established goals. After diagnosis, adjustments to the plans will be made and communicated to ensure the sales metrics reach the established targets. Deploy marketing programs and initiatives, as well as territory specific initiatives ( i.e. pipeline calls etc.,) to drive market share growth and displace competitive products through the territory sales team. Drive processes to facilitate doing business with Panduit to improve profitability by developing sales talent within the defined territory to; leverage our partner community, accelerate our marketing initiatives, drive increased breathe and depth of relationships and product mix within accounts. Manage the financial indicators both lagging and leading to adapt strategy to changing markets or competitive needs. Leading and managing the territory based resources to drive flawless execution of our corporate strategy.
Specific Duties: · Development of the human capital within the assigned territory – Demonstrates the ability to assess talent. Actively works with team to assess competencies of direct reports. · Effective builds team – Inspires and motives the team to drive to the territory and organizational goals. Drives the team to meet or exceed sales quotas-Executes the sales strategies through the field sales team. Manage direct resources to achieve revenue goals- Effectively develops and inspires team to meet district, regional, organizational and personal goals · Manages sales planning and forecasting—Works with district sales team to develop and implement penetration plans for identified key accounts. · Manage engagement of the area sales team throughout the partner ecosystem—Enables territory account managers to deploy marketing programs, promotions and discounts to advance partner selling. · Cultivates peer relationships—Develops relationships within key accounts and throughout the partner ecosystem to leverage sales within the territory. · Manage the financial indicators within the region—Manages productivity of the area sales team; uses forecasting to determine adaptations to sales plans; understands and identifies the trends and drivers in the business and incorporates them where needed. · Manages a team of individual contributors within an assigned geography. · Responsible for ensuring goal alignment to the organization. Manages sales reps directly within the same geography. · Knowledge Government vertical market preferred.
Physical Skills, Training, Experience Required:
· Master’s degree preferred. Proven track record of managing a direct team. · Strong business acumen. Solid operations and human capital knowledge. · Knowledge of the market, the competitors and our technology.
