Development Manager (Legal Sales Person)

Update Legal is seeking a Client Development Manager who would be responsible for developing new accounts and sales opportunities. We are looking for a hungry, savvy, entrepreneurial-minded candidate. As a Client Development Manager you are responsible for creating interest, developing opportunities, managing client relationships and most importantly the ability to drive revenue by closing business with high level decision makers at major law firms and corporations in Washington, DC to sell our services of temporary legal placement as well as Discovery Management.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
· Build relationships and gain the trust required to carefully identify customer needs and consult with the customer to determine how these needs can be fulfilled by Update Legal & Update Discovery.
· Develop prospective customers through research, outbound sales prospecting calls, referrals, event attendance, and other marketing campaign activities.
· Act as primary point-of-contact for your accounts.
· Lead, manage and develop you accounts.
· Proactively find new ways to build the client’s business and grow accounts.

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
· The right candidate will be a team player, yet have the ability to work independently and posses excellent time management, organizational and presentation skills.
· Critical listening skills are essential.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively or independently.
· Knowledge of the legal industry and/or Discovery Management is a plus.
