Position Summary NCR Field Service Installation Technician (Customer Engineer level I ) associates provide installation, de-installation, field retrofits and pre-installations events on equipment within an assigned region in the United States, to assure continuity of customer operations and high levels of customer satisfaction. In this role, you will have ownership of customer problems or incidents until the situation has been resolved to the customer's satisfaction and or in compliance with agreed upon project requirements. You will perform Tier II/III work on products and services of medium-high complexity within the retail, financial and multi-vendor industries. Tier II/III products include but is not limited to, ATMs, self service products, point of sale products, large servers and mainframe computers and peripherals, large system printers and plotters, enterprise level servers, networks and software, item processing reader/sorters and networking issues on imaging systems, medium/high complexity networking/communications equipment, network and systems management/protocols (Ethernet, Token-Ring, StarLAN, NetBIOS, X.25). Primary services include installation, de-installation, and field retrofits of financial, retail and multi-vendor products.
Key Areas of Responsibility ? Provide installation, de-installations, and Field Retrofits on products within the retail, financial, and multi-vendor industries, within an assigned US Region. ? Provide continuity of customer projects and high levels of customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Must be a local candidate Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Must have a valid driver's license Must pass comprehensive background check including credit check, criminal, driving record, and drug screen. Must have the ability to carrying and lifting a tool kit/parts of varying weights (1- 50 lbs.) and prolonged travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: A certification 2 year degree in electronics or computer technology At least 2 years of hands-on POS/ATM repair experience in a customer field environment At least 2 years of PC repair experience in a customer field environment.
