Detailed Description
The role of the Back Office Services team at E*TRADE Financial is three fold. First, the role supports the settlement of fixed income security trades for the Bank teams and second, manages the flow of funds into and out of the institution. Third, the role analyses collateral requirements and ensures the settlement of collateral movements. The position is responsible for the fulfillment of settlement tasks related to securities and derivatives trades from trade date, through the settlement date, and beyond. Key Responsibilities:
* Post trade execution
* Creation of reports
* Verify trade tickets to ensure policy compliance
* Management of settlement systems
* Monitor and match counterparty notification messages through third-party tools
* Reconcile messages to notification reports
* Validation of incoming securities through third-party tools
* Prepare final settlement documentation such as payment requests
* Address discrepancies in a timely fashion
* Transaction log and reconciliation
* Record retention
* Derivative tracking
* Collateral movements and creation of margin tickets
* Communicate with counterparties in anticipation of upcoming transactions
* Reconcile and action failed transactions
* Support audit requests
* Manage trade tickets until final settlements
Job Requirements
Key Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Economics
* Strong analytical, communication, organizational and mathematics skills
* Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
* Extensive experience with MS Excel and exposure to financial systems
* Experience within the mortgage industry and derivatives preferred
