Tax - Supervisor

Supervise members of the IS&T segment tax team supporting a $2B defense contracting business, this position will prepare and review Federal, State and some international tax aspects of the business. Primarily responsible for researching the issues, calculating tax returns, training and supervision of staff and balance changing tax priorities. Responsible for preparing and reviewing tax accounting analysis in accordance with FAS 109 and related standards. Must be able to identify tax planning opportunities, compose technical tax research memos, correspond with outside accountants and support implementation of tax planning ideas. Must be able to analyze systems, interface with management, explain technical tax concepts and recommend improvements as needed.
Requirements:
6 - 10 years experience in Corporate tax environment or CPA firm. Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead and organize multiple and changing priorities. Ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly and effectively with management and outside taxing auditors. Familiarity with Oracle and Cost Point Ledger systems is a plus. Masters Degree in Tax or CPA preferred; experience in using CORP Tax or similar software to prepare income tax returns.
